Class Dojo
Class Dojo is an exciting program we use to encourage positive behavior. Students can earn points when they are caught making good choices such as helping others, being kind, being on task, etc. Students lose points when they make bad choices, such as too much talking or fooling around. They can earn prizes for having a certain number of points at the end of each month (see prize list below).
One of the coolest parts is that you can sign up to be informed by e-mail of your child’s weekly points and see for yourself which positive and negative choices he or she has been making throughout the week. Simply follow the directions on the invitation I gave you on the first day of school. Please send me a note if you do not have an invitation but would like one. Also, please note that if your child changes his or her avatar on the website, it will not allow him or her to change it in class.
Rewards for positive behavior are:
10 points- Choose a sticker.
15 points- Choose your Avatar.
20 points- Designer pencil
25 points- Show and Tell
30 points- 15 minutes of computer time
35 points- Subject related arts and crafts
40 points- Sit in the reward chair
45 points- Lunch with Mrs. Butwinski and a friend
50 points- Sit at Mrs. Butwinski’s desk for the day
